Around & About - in North Somerst
There were tree-planting ceremonies in both Sandford and Winscombe to celebrate the Platinum Jubillee of the Accession of QEII. Several residents walked to the former. It was absolutely brilliant - at least fifty people, I should think. Penrose (our MP) and Martin Thatcher and others did the planting. The Town Crier / Master of Ceremonies was excellent and the lad from Wells Choir School, who played last post on the trumpet, was super. We all gave Her Majesty a rousing three cheers and I walked home.
