Margaret and various Care Home things PLUS some boring stuff ...
As one would imagine, there are all manner of interesting residents in The Russets and Sherwood. Some of them are legends in their own lunchtimes and some have relatives who were similarly legendary. There is, as you may know, a woman called Margaret who was a director of a British foreign language bookshop, Grant & Cutler. There is man, Bernie Hill, who was the goalie for Bristol Rovers for 162 matches in the 1960's and there is Zana (Susanne) whose mother was Irene Eisinger, a soubrette soprano (and a movie actress) who sang all over Europe until emigrating to England in 1939 (because of her Jewish connections), where she continued her singing career at Glynedbourne. Above, Zana in the Clubhouse for one of the Butterfly Moments, where a particular piece of music that connects to a resident is played.
Here is the Wikki entry for Irene.
