Margaret's windowsill. The yellow giraffe - painted by her in the past has, mysteriously, lost a leg!
Martin & Sarah rocked by on a quick visit ...
... and, many a visit was made to the station. Lois & Hugh (who's wife Anne is also in Ashmead) too.
New Juliette balcony (replacing a window) being installed in Darlisette House. Some residents in favour, some not ...
Potentially, this could be done to all upstairs Darlisette apartments. The current windowes are small and, when sitting down in the living room, all one can see is the sky.
Wisteria by the fountain.
Margaret in a borrowed hat.
Mike and Lorraine. Two of Margaret's favourite carers who were 'let go' by St Monica through, in my opinion, bodged and ill thought out management decisions at Head Office.
St Monica cannot afford to lose good carers and are. currently, far too dependent on Agency carers. Still Margaret is unaware that they have left and has many more favourite carers. Although unable to identify any of them (I am pretty sure), she must inwardly know who they are. She is certainly more likely to be cooperative with carers who know how to treat he and approach her. The picture is of Ashmead having afternoon tea in the Russets Garden.
On our walks, we often stop for a drink on the Station, in The Orangery or, as in this case, in The Orangery Garden. As you can see, she looks happy. Loud noise (unless it is music) and, particularly, screaming and shouting, can annoy her.
Margaret still has an expressive face, can do foreign accents, count (up to ten) in English, French and German and has an almost obsessive interest in drains, manhole covers etc in the street. She will not step on them and warns me about them.
Our magnificent wisteria walk - it doesn't last long!
