I arranged (with some difficulty) a minibus trip to the Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show. See here for the last time we visited. The day went very well, the weather was kind.
This is just a few pics from zillions of bikes.
Lots of motorbikes!
19713 Malanca 50cc. Italian.
1965 Honda C77 305cc. Very stylish in its own way!
Lovely dials on a Norvin (Vincent engine in a Norton frame).
1918 Indian Powerplus (American). 1,000cc flat-head twin.
Honda 1000 CBX. Transverse in-line six cylinder. About 1979.
Devon & Somerset Fire Rescue Service micro motorcycle.
I don't know anything about it!
Lambretta Scooter from the age of the Mods & Rockers (1967).
A Rudge motorcycle. Nice bit of leather.
I had a long chat with the owner of this gorgeous bit of kit but forgot to note any details. 1915, I think.
Magnat Debon (French). The French are not noted for motoecycles, are they?
Had I been able to have a motorbike in 1976 this would have been it. Light, smooth, quiet, economical and just fast enough with an in-line four cylinder engine.
We were there on Saturday. These were the bikes for auction on Sunday. I watched a few minutes of it. Mildly interesting!
